Arriving Stavanger by boat during the Tall Ships Race in July 2011.
To the right; Njord Viking, an anchor handling vessel.
In the middle; The four masted barque and tall ship Kruzenshtern. It was built in 1926 at Geestemünde in Bremerhaven, Germany as the Padua (named after the Italian city). She was surrendered to the USSR in 1946 as war reparation and renamed after the early 19th century Baltic German explorer in Russian service, Adam Johann Krusenstern (1770–1846). She is now a Russian Navy sail training ship.
The building/construction to the left; The Norwegian Petroleum Museum. Seen from the sea the museum looks like a small oil platform. The museum focuses on offshore petroleum activity especially in the North Sea.
