Mae Sot is not one of Thailand's more attractive cities, but it is a very interesting place. Along with Thais, there is are large communites of Burmese, Karen, Indo-Burmese and hill tribe people. Here you see a Burmese tradition called wut-thin. The people are gathering donations for the monks, accompanied by gongs and other form of music. The procession will end at a temple.
